Birthright International was born in 1968 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, when Louise Summerhill, a busy housewife and mother of seven, felt something should be done to help women facing unplanned pregnancies. More than 50 years later, Birthright has hundreds of centers across Canada, the U.S. and Africa.

In Memphis, Birthright offers staff and volunteers ready to help any girl or woman—regardless of age, race, creed, or marital or economic status—who feels distressed by an unplanned pregnancy. We offer love, support and pregnancy resources in a compassionate, loving, nonjudgemental environment.
