WE
WELCOME VOLUNTEERS OF ANY RACE,
SEX, OR CREED.
Join
the many volunteers who keep
our mission alive and well.
Here are just a few services
our volunteers provide:
WORKING
IN OUR OFFICES
Volunteers can
- greet
clients, complete pregnancy
tests,
- answer
our phone to make appointments,
- update
our computer records or assist
with large mailings,
- be
a mentor or a teacher for
our P.L.A. N.T. (Parents,
Learning and
Networking Together) class.
Sponsor an individual or a
class.
TRANSLATORS
Volunteers can serve
as translators for our clients
who speak Spanish, French, Chinese,
or other languages.
OUR
'BABY CLOSET' AND MATERNITY
CLOTHING
Volunteers can collect donations
of baby clothing, infant care
supplies, and maternity clothes
for use by our clients.
SPEAKING
AND WRITING
Volunteers can speak
on behalf of Birthright at schools,
clubs, church groups, and civic
organizations.
If
you are interested in volunteering,
contact: Michelle Charbonnet,
Director of Volunteers at (901)

FUND RAISING
All
of our services at Birthright
are free. We receive
no government funding. Each
Birthright office is self-sustaining.
Our money comes from individual
donors and annual fundraisers.
Therefore, fund raising is extremely
important to our survival. Volunteers
are essential to the success
of our events.
Phon-a-thon
is an annual event held in the
fall.
The
Family Holiday Tea and Auction
is an annual fundraising event
held in the winter.
The
Birthright Ball is an annual
event held in the spring.
If
you would like to get involved
in any of these events, or would
like additional information,
please contact us at (901) 327-8109.
